About half of South African men (45%) and women (51%) are not fully satisfied with their sex lives. This startling revelation forms part of the recent Pfizer Global Better Sex Survey (GBSS) results.
The GBSS survey indicates that South Africa is consistent with the global trends which show that one in two men and women around the world are not fully satisfied sexually.

Council workers abusing the Internet and spending their days "porn surfing" is not just a Johannesburg problem, but a national one.
This was the response from opposition leaders on Monday after The Star's expose on City of Joburg employees downloading, watching and distributing pornography during office hours.

The City of Johannesburg is investigating a number of its employees for downloading and emailing pornography, The Star newspaper reported on Monday.
Gabu Tugwana, director of communications for the City, confirmed the internal audit had investigated about 200 cases.

The first test of a daily pill to prevent HIV infection gave a tantalizing hint of success, but a real answer must await a larger study due out next year.
The experiment, done in Africa, mainly showed that the drug Viread is safe when used for prevention. Fewer people given the drug caught the AIDS virus than those given dummy pills, but so few in either group became infected that valid comparisons cannot be made, scientists said.

Pornographic images have appeared on a computer hard drive handed over by South African prosecutors to former Deputy President Jacob Zuma.
The hard drive was meant to contain documents on which the state is basing a corruption case against Mr Zuma and his co-accused, French arms firm Thint.

ZIMBABWE has expanded the scope of its sodomy laws. An intimate hug or smooch between people of the same sex may now constitute a crime.
The dramatic changes to the country's criminal law, which took effect last Saturday, are contained in the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act of 2004 passed by parliament two years ago but which only took effect last Saturday.

THE state minister for ethics and integrity, Dr. James Nsaba Buturo, has attacked homosexuals for using the media to promote immorality and pornography.
Buturo, while opening the Abundant Life Children Orphanage Centre, Sokolo in Wakiso district recently, said unlike in the past, homosexuals today are bold and openly demand recognition in society.
