Private Eyes Paid By Local Gov To Have Sex With Hookers

Legal confusion has forced some Melbourne councils to hire private investigators to have sex with prostitutes in illegal brothels to help shut them down, the Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) said.

It was revealed today that at least six Melbourne councils had paid private investigators to receive "sexual services" from prostitutes to provide evidence against them. In more than a dozen cases, investigators hired by Melbourne and Yarra city councils had sex with the prostitutes.

Railway Manager Ran Call Girl Service From Central Station

A group of senior RailCorp managers including one who ran a prostitution service from Central Station headquarters, have been sacked for sexual harassment, pornography and other offences after a mammoth internal investigation.

The men's lewd behaviour has also prompted a massive crackdown on harassment and inappropriate behaviour within RailCorp.

Students Work In Sex Industry

Some international students in Australia are being forced to work in the sex industry to pay for their expensive degrees.

The Students' Union says the women end up in the sex industry because their visa restricts them to working just twenty hours a week during any one semester and they need high paying jobs to survive.

Porn Laptop Employee Reinstated

A Company said today it was disappointed to be ordered to reinstate an employee it sacked for viewing and storing pornography on his work laptop computer.

In May, NSW Industrial Relations Commissioner John Murphy rejected an appeal by Richard Budlong, 56, for unfair dismissal by NCR Australia, over his breach of the company's code of conduct.

Former Porn King Faces trial

FORMER internet porn baron Greg Lasrado was driving erratically and may have been under the influence of heroin when he caused a high-speed collision on one of the state's busiest roads, a court has been told.

Lasrado, the flamboyant businessman who made and lost millions of dollars from a chain of pornography websites, was unsteady on his feet, appeared dazed and had glassy eyes after the collision that caused a small car to overturn on the Pacific Motorway, near Mt Gravatt, in February last year.

Ex Porn King Possessed Heroin

A FORMER computer porn king who became addicted to drugs has pleaded guilty in a Brisbane court to possessing heroin.

Greg Shiraz Lasrado, 35, of Kenmore Hills, in Brisbane's west, pleaded guilty in Brisbane Magistrates' Court today to one count of possession of a dangerous drug on February 16 this year.

Sex Slave Case Crashes

THE country's first sex slave case has been dropped after it was revealed the prosecution's key witness was the target of a major investigation into a global prostitution ring.

The Australian Federal Police hid from both the District Court and the Federal Director of Public Prosecutions that they had the woman and her boyfriend under surveillance for two years on suspicion of selling sex slaves to Australian brothels.

Death threats have been made against the people setting up an adult book shop in Shepparton, in north-eastern Victoria.

The Eros Foundation plans to open the Club X store in 12 months. It comes after the community took the business to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal to stop it being built in the city.

NETWORK Ten has escaped the communications watchdog’s wrath over its Big Brother TV show, but could soon face tougher rules covering the broadcast of reality programs.

Ten found itself in the middle of a furore over its hit program Big Brother this week after two male contestants were thrown off the show for alleged sexual misconduct.

While Ten did not broadcast footage of the incident on TV, subscribers to its Big Brother website saw it live early last Saturday.

‘Porn Middleman’ Optus - Damages Payout Slashed

OPTUS has had a damages payout reduced on appeal in a case which exposed its role as a key player in the global internet pornography trade.

The nation's second-biggest telco will now have to pay only a fraction of the original $11.5 million damages ordered by Supreme Court judge Robert McDougall in November 2004.

Watchdog Removes Web Porn

AUSTRALIA'S media watchdog has sought the removal of almost 250 pornographic web pages and other internet postings over the first four months of this year.

Official figures from the Australian Communications and Media Authority showed the watchdog received 293 complaints from January to April and acted on 236 of them.
