Porn King Is No Hero

STOCKHOLM (Reuters) - Successful entrepreneur or sleaze merchant?

Sweden’s answer to Hugh Hefner could be seen as a perfect example of the former, but porn magnate Berth Milton is not a popular man at home.

Building on a monthly pornographic magazine founded by his father, Milton has in less than 15 years created one of the world’s largest producers of hard-core pornography, Private Media Group. Shares in the company were listed on Nasdaq in 1999 and it had revenues last year of $49 million.

Gambling and Porn

Porn’s Impact On Technology Exaggerated

Printer

Pornography not only provokes male hormones but it also promotes some technology adoption and development. Its impact has been especially noticeable in the last 30 years, but its influence is as old as the printing press:

“Lads Mags” Tacky, Seedy & Sad - But Profitable

On The Press: Lads' mags are under fire. But do we need a regulator to crack the likes of 'Nuts'?

So I went into WH Smith in Manchester to buy my magazines - Nuts, Zoo and FHM - and found them at midriff level (my natural height is top shelf), a little higher than the children's comics, but way below The Spectator.
