The Sun won an historic legal victory yesterday after exposing the prostitute in the Wayne Rooney brothel libel case as a liar.

Gran Patricia Tierney, 52, tried to swindle hundreds of thousands of pounds in damages from us, claiming she was just an innocent receptionist.

She claimed her life had been ruined by a series of articles identifying her as a hooker known as The Auld Slapper in a Liverpool brothel Rooney used as a teenager.

WASHINGTON - Tucked away in a spending bill pending in Congress is language the porn industry finds offensive.

Along with billions of dollars in funding for the Justice Department and the State Department is a little-noticed provision that would require Web sites that feature "sexually explicit" content to contain special labels to make it easier to keep kids away from them.

Firefighters have to to take lie detector

Five Martinsville firefighters will undergo lie detector tests as their department tries to determine who ordered pay-per-view pornography at a firehouse in May, 6News' Jeremy Brilliant reported Wednesday.

Fire Chief Tim Fraker said 17 movies, most of them pornographic, were ordered from a cable service and watched during regular shifts in late May.

Condoms A Must For French Cable Porn

Paris - The days of condom-free porn on French cable television are nearing an end.

Starting next year, channels will no longer be allowed to air porn with scenes of unprotected sex because it sets a dangerous example, the official French broadcasting watchdog High Audiovisual Council, or CSA, announced Wednesday.

A Gym For Sex

The 2003 Lawrence v. Texas Supreme Court ruling was a victory for GLBT and sex positive activists everywhere.

Two consenting adults were now allowed to have any type of sex they wanted within the confines of their own homes. But as the news hit the masses, several people pondered how this ruling would affect anti-prostitution legislation, as well as laws prohibiting sex in public spaces. I guess they imagined that once people were allowed to do whatever they wanted, they would do it wherever they wanted.

Cops Emailed Porn

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Eyewitness News has learned high-ranking Orlando police officers admitted under oath they were emailing each other pornography on city time on city computers. Channel 9 found out about the pornographic emails because of a lawsuit filed against the police department by five officers.

The lawsuit claims the five officers were sexually harassed at work and, on top of that, they faced retaliation for reporting it.

Gay Sex To Remain Illegal in Singapore

Singapore plans to decriminalize oral and anal sex for adult heterosexuals under legislation unveiled Thursday, but the government said sex between homosexuals will remain banned.

The government posted proposed amendments to the city-state's Penal Code — the result of a three-year review — on a Web site, and Singaporeans have a month to offer feedback. The Ministry of Home Affairs will consider the input before presenting the proposals to Parliament early next year.

Singapore To Legalise Oral & Anal Sex

Oral and anal sex in private between consenting heterosexual adults would be legalised under Singapore's first major penal code amendments in 22 years, the government said on Wednesday.

Singapore, which in recent years has gradually eased social restrictions that have given it a straight-laced reputation, said it had conducted a comprehensive review of sexual offences in the penal code, which was enacted in 1871 and received its last significant amendments in 1984.

Sex Shop Owners Charged

A Stafford grand jury yesterday indicted a county sex shop and its two owners on charges of violating the state's obscenity laws.

Pheromoans Inc., Meagan J. Pacheco, 26, and Lesley O. Mason, 27, are each charged with three misdemeanor counts. Each charge carries a maximum penalty of 12 months in jail and a $2,500 fine.

Pheromoans Inc. is in a building in Doc Stone Commons off Garrisonville Road in North Stafford. It is billed as a lingerie boutique, but battery-operated sex toys and adult DVDs also are sold from the business.

The City of Johannesburg is investigating a number of its employees for downloading and emailing pornography, The Star newspaper reported on Monday.

Gabu Tugwana, director of communications for the City, confirmed the internal audit had investigated about 200 cases.

A Company said today it was disappointed to be ordered to reinstate an employee it sacked for viewing and storing pornography on his work laptop computer.

In May, NSW Industrial Relations Commissioner John Murphy rejected an appeal by Richard Budlong, 56, for unfair dismissal by NCR Australia, over his breach of the company's code of conduct.
