Chinese actress Zhang Yu has created a scandal stir in China by admitting that she had sex with directors in return for roles in soap operas and movies.
The UK Independent has reported on Zhang`s confession, in which she said that some of China’s top TV and film directors often demanded sex in return for high-profile roles. To highlight the scandal, Zhang posted 20 graphic sex videos on the Internet of her and some of the big names she has worked with.
The scandal has shook the Chinese entertainment industry, the Independent said. The videos have prompted a debate on what is acceptable material to post online.
‘Why should a woman suffer in silence and bear with all the unfair treatment?’ Zhang asks in her blog. ‘If you have to mix with beasts and snakes and you are not venomous, how shall you survive”?
